Solstice has developed a structured methodology for solving software programming and design problems. Industry-proven techniques such as component architecture, well-documented design patterns, test-driven development and pair programming supported by a high degree of organizational discipline and commitment to continual improvement separates Solstice from its competitors.

Solstice has also redesigned the software engineering process, using Six-Sigma inspired methodologies, to maximize customer satisfaction by eliminating defects and delivering exactly what the customer wants. Great synergy is gained by presenting the customer with a functional version of the software at an early stage of the project, and then adding requirements with subsequent iterations.

Solstice defines the Design for Six Sigma methodology using the following processes by iteration:

Define customer requirements for current iteration
Map requirements to business metaphors
Design solution with appropriate design pattern
Test solution through automated component tests
Iterate steps every 2-3 weeks adding detailed customer requirements until all requirements are met.
